A variety of different treatment methods are used, the best known of which are ACUPUNCTURE and HERBAL MEDICINE. ACUPUNCTURE involves the insertion of very fine sterile needles into Acupuncture Points at various points on the body, depending on the person's condition, to restore and improve health. HERBAL MEDICINE is an extensive part of T.C.M. Various herbs, embrocations, poultices, plasters, and decoctions, are prescribed in accordance with the person's precise individual needs. The initial consultation lasts from 40 minutes to 1 hour. Subsequent treatments can last from 20 minutes to1 hour. The person is usually seen at weekly intervals.
