Today's makeup artist can often be expected to show skills beyond the traditional definition of the role, especially when breaking into the field. This is a basic course, with a few advanced techniques thrown in. It teaches the fundamentals of temporary sets and hairstyles for make-up artists and just about anyone that has an interest in hair!

Style Files and Mood Boards, Hair Structure/Types/Knowledge, Product Knowledge, Tool Knowledge, Equipment Knowledge, Straight Blow Dries, Using Hair Straighteners, Protecting the Hair When Using Heated Tools, Creating Curls With the Use of Tongs, Bendies, Heated Rollers, Velcro Rollers, Plastic Rollers and Perm Rods, Creating French Plaits, French Pleats, Herring Bone Plaits, Fantasy Hair Creations, Creating Mohicans, Creating Quiffs, Creating Frizz, Creating Dreads, Modern Bridal Hair and Upstyles, Application of Tiara's, Flowers and Veils, Application of Temporary Hair Extensions, Styling and Grooming Men's Hair and Portfolio Work.
(NB: This course does not include hair cutting or colouring. These are techniques that would not be suitable for a short course).
